Canton, Connecticut Ghost Tales A dark figure, almost like a shadow appears in the early morning hours, checking on residents. I woke up around 1 am, 3 am, and 4 am, everytime I woke up, I'd look over to my bedroom door and there would be a figure standing, looking at me from my door. I would be peeking in. The same night, my mom felt the weight of some one sitting at the end of her bed, but there was no one there. In the same house, my sister walked down into the basement to see a dog and cat head. I also saw a dog standing at the front door, but then it dissapeared. Just recently, my cat was staring at a place on the ceiling, but       when I looked where he was looking, I couldn't see anything. I turned off all the lights in the room, and I saw a shodowy thing moving on the ceiling where my cat had been staring. The ghost of a gentleman dressed in military attire was noticed gulping water from Massacoe Spring in the early morning hours before sunrise. When the onlooker materialized the ghost ran off. A medieval knight's armor lacking a human being inside was perceived hauling a corpse from the ice cold water of Barbour Brook late at night. The arrival of the watcher terrified the phantom who then vanished. A number of folks argue this ghost is probably the stressed ghost of a local who used to dwell here in Canton. No matter what, it's without a doubt a frightening ghost that is rather not disrupted.
