The hauntings started happening a while back ago last December I was home alone when I heard the knocks come from the upstairs door we had no animals at the time besides sheep outside. When I went upstairs I saw nothing so I brushed it off as nothing.|

When my father first relocated to Chaplin (where he visited family as a child) from Baltimore, MD in the early 1990s, he bought my Aunt Marjorie's old house on N. Bedlam after she passed away. You could smell cigar smoke for no reason. My dad saw 1700s/1800s men walking outside past a window in black hats and trench coats a couple of times.
My brother felt a cool breeze inside, and then an interior door closed on its own. I heard someone make a clicking sound in my ear and felt their breath against my hair. A light was turned on in a bedroom in the middle of the night on its own and then turned off on its own a few hours later.
N. Bedlam Rd. Used to be named after my family and was called Harvey Road. This was until the town paved it. My uncle John didn't like how it was now difficult to get out of his driveway with the road now six inches higher than his down-sloping driveway. He had the road named changed. He lived on N. Bedlam Road. This house was owned by generations of Harveys and briefly the Stay family.
My father sold the home on N. Bedlam Road when the Stay family sold it, and my father now owns another one on the same road. At the new home my dad has seen a dark-haired woman ghost in a nightgown lying in his bed, silently staring at the ceiling. He hears what sounds like sand pouring between the walls. He hears growling in the kitchen (he has no pets. ) He's seen ghosts in 1800s clothing standing talking to one another in his living room. He's heard ghosts talking in his foyer.
Many of us have experienced two knocks on the upstairs bathroom door with no one there. On the addition that my father had added on, something banged against the side of the room from outside (two stories from the ground. ) Then the door to the balcony (no steps to the ground) abruptly swung open in front of my daughter and me.
