Anybody had a dream/nightmare about a ghost named Lady Johanna.

In the almost fifty years I have been on this earth I have lived in several haunted houses. For now I will tell you about one of them. Although this house was not the worst it still made me and my (non-believing) husband sit up and take notice. It was in December when twenty-five years ago I moved into our newly rented old fourteen-room house (built in the late 17th century) on Rosseter Street in Great Barrington, MA. We felt like we had hit the lottery, but it had a few seriously nasty inhabitants in residence as we found out. The occurrences started the very night we moved in with at that time our three small children. After putting the children to bed my husband and I were sitting in the living room on the couch relaxing after a long day. We heard heavy furniture being moved around upstairs. We had moved from a tiny apartment, and all of our things including all of us fit into just the downstairs with plenty of room left over.
My husband insisted it was our dog tied on the porch dragging her dog chain as she went up and down the steps. I pointed out to him the dog was sleeping on the floor right next to the couch we were sitting on. He went upstairs to investigate, only to return saying there was indeed nothing but dust bunnies up there. Several times my oldest (five-year-old) would wake in the middle of the night terrified because there was a man with ''bugs'' crawling out of his face sitting on his dresser. Frequently my two-year-old would play with a ''friend'' while his two older siblings were in daycare. He said he was playing with his new friend, and her name was Alexandria (who lived in his bedroom) when I questioned him. Then one night there was a bad wind storm, and our outside pantry door flew open with a loud bang. My husband got up out of bed to close it. When he returned he asked me who I let in the front door. He had seen a tall man dressed in black with a black hat standing in the front hall. I told him I had let no one in the front door. I had not gotten out of bed. He was so insistent that a man had been standing there. He searched the house up and down to find no one.
That summer when my dog had puppies she was insistent on placing one of the four she gave birth to in my lap while she delivered the others. They were all healthy puppies, but that one (that she kept getting up to place in my lap) was the only one to survive. The other three died within a week in that house. Plants and spiders did not even live there! We would hear all kinds of things, voices, things moving on their own or missing, only to turn up in places we had just checked previously. One day while I was in the attic I discovered a hidden room by the top of the stairs by accident. Up until that moment I believed it was just a wall. Inside I discovered a pair of old long-johns with wooden buttons down the front and on the back flap, as well as a newspaper dated 1783 (it has been a long time so I am not too clear on the last two numbers). They both were in perfect condition. In that paper was a short article discussing a certain young girl's death and things about her father. Time went on, and we were always seeing flashes of people walking around out of the corner of our eyes.
The cellar terrified me the most even when another person was with me. The first time we went into the cellar to look around we saw an old room built into the back corner. It used to be an old coal chute. God only knows the last time it had been used and was boarded up from the outside. We decided it would be a good place to store some things. We went down with arms loaded to make our deposit to discover the room was no longer there! The final straw came when I was eight months pregnant with my last child. I was bringing towels from one of the upstairs bathrooms to the one downstairs. As I started to descend the stairs getting about three steps down something or someone pushed me hard from behind! The towels went flying to the bottom of the stairs, and I just managed to catch myself from falling by grabbing the banister with both hands. At the time all three of my children were sound asleep napping in their downstairs bedroom, and my husband was at work.
The next day I went and researched the house's history. I found it was one of the first houses to be built in Great Barrington. It was built by a wealthy farmer, and at that time it was a very large farm taking up most of the land that is now downtown. He was not what you would call a nice man in life and had a young daughter who died in the house under questionable circumstances. Her name was Alexandria. The same girl the old news paper article spoke of. The same girl my little son played with. We eventually moved out of that house, and it has since been torn down. Another smaller one story house was built there, but you can still feel the presence on the property when you drive or walk by.
