Gaylordsville, Connecticut Ghost Tales

While working at the Gaylordsville Market, I experienced a few ghost sitings. The most frightening was on a morning when I opened up and was the only one in the Market as I had locked the door after entering. I started my daily routine (at 5:30am), including walking into the walk-in fridge to obtain the eggs, cheese and veggies used to make the morning sandwiches. Upon returning, all of the soda and beer coolers were open. These coolers were the type that do not stay open by themselves, yet all were open and staying open. I had to personally go to each to close the doors. On previous occasions, we noticed faint outlines of individuals in the butcher area. And, next door at the adjacent and attached Post Office, mail floated out of the slots without any assistance or breeze. According to those who I spoke with, most believe that the ghosts are those of the original proprietors of the market continuing with their own daily routine.
