Just the day before yesterday I went through the tunnel for the first time. As I came to the entrance of the tunnel the temp dropped low. As I began to walk through I saw stuff and heard voices. Me and my 2 other friends turned our flash lights on our phone on but heard nothing. We heard a loud noise towards the end of the tunnel but could not turn back because we were already half way through it. |
Sounded like someone yelling get out. We started
to run toward the end of the tunnel, but as we ran it felt further and further away. Then came to realize that we could not run because we hurt ourselves
on the track.|

The mile long tunnel has always been a hang out for teens in Bristol and Terryville for years. I picked in Terryville in my child and teen years and went to the tunnel many times. I had made it through the tunnel many times, and 3 out of 4 times I have seen things I couldn't explain. If you plan on walking through the tunnel, you will need a flash light even in daylight. If you enter on the canal road side when you walk down the tracks, you turn to the right and about 600 ft before you can feel the temperature drop incredibly. One day as we were going through the tunnel, we heard a whistle blow (like a train.) We heard the train but felt no vibration. Then we saw a mist run to a cove, but that cove had a lot of debris in it. A a person could not go in. After five to six minutes listening to the whistles we still felt no vibration. We could see the entrance on Canal Street well to see if a train has driven by. As we walked we noticed the whistling stopped, and we heard a voice say ''pheew'' like they were excited. Then that same figure moved with our flashlights on the mist. You can see through the tunnel. I have been back but not for long.

Comment by Justin: I've been in the mile long tunnel a couple times during the day and night and never heard any noises, it was also close to 10 to 11 months ago.
