West Hartford, Connecticut Ghost Tales I used to live in a house in West Hartford on West Boulevard. My sister and I had separate rooms at the time. I was three when the first thing happened. My cousin, Ian, had died the year before. I knew nothing my cousin at the time, probably because my parents didn't want me to know at the age of three. But, one day I was dancing with my imaginary friend. The only problem was, it looked like I was actually dancing with a person, like a was actually holding someone's hand. My mom asked, ''What's your friend's name?'' Now remember, I had no idea of my cousin at the time, but my 'imaginary' friend was named Ian. Also, when my sister was about two years old, she would wake up to see a woman in a white dress with her head half cut off in the corner of her bedroom. Every night my sister woke up, the woman would be one step closer to her. Several stories of this ghost have been reported. A woman with a knife sticking out of her head is repeatedly witnessed enjoying the view at Batterson Park Pond Dam at the stroke of midnight. One thing is for certain, this ghost indisputably is chilling; one that should be kept away from. An old knight's armor devoid of a human being inside is rumored to have been seen on frequent occasions on the shore of Batterson Park Pond frightening people. Either way, this is a horrible spirit that is rather not disrupted. The ghost of a lady with a bag fastened around her head can be made out repeatedly staring at people in a West Hartford residence through a door crack. In any case, it's undoubtedly a menacing phantom that you wouldn't wish to meet late in the night. A partly transparent man dressed as the skipper of a freight ship has every so often been observed by Bass Brook shouting names of people. Folks here who have witnessed this ghost say this ghost could be a distinguished yesteryear dweller of West Hartford. Regardless of what folks utter, this ghost undeniably is scary; one that any reasonable person would not want to bump into.
