Westbrook, Connecticut Ghost Tales I have a beach house that is 110 years old and everything has gone fine until earlier today, we were playing in the old attic when tapping could be heard on the stairs...first it came slowly, then faster and louder. We ran out of the house screaming, full of fear. We eventually began to calm down and were just talking on the lawn when my sister showed us a picutre she was taking of the house that showed very unusual and unexplainable shadows in different places each time it was taken.. later, one of my friends decided to experiment for fun, and threw a pebble lightly threw the open window. Of course,       it made a slight tapping sound as it could be heard hitting the floor..but then, after five seconds, the pebble could be heard being dragged across the floor, making scuffling sounds with it. Then, we   threw another stone and it did the same exact thing. We ran away from the house, then looking back we see a grayish shadow with my dog barking at it. WE decided it was our imagination but when we came back, my dog was shaking and wimpering. He refused to go upstairs with us, which was unusal for a dog that loved to follow us on our heels everywhere. In the past, we've also experienced frightening and strange episodes, such as a light flickering in the upstairs hallway with no lightbulb in it, strange noises in rooms, and several more. Our younger siblings aren't able to go back into the cottage anymore that we loved to stay in without feeling fear or paranoia. My sister tells me once, I woke up screaming delericously, eyes open but looking everywhere, saying ''they're watching me'' and thenI fell back asleep. Is that just a nightmare? Are those noises just by coincidence? Is this all just crazy imagination? Is this old house being watched over by some kind of ghost? Please help give us ideas!.
