As legend goes a senator lived in the House with his daughter. I was living in the attic during those years but there I was Home sick from school. As I lay in dad's bed (just below mine) watching television I heard a distinct noise upstairs. It was a walking. I thought heck it's the dog. I sat up the dog was     at my feet. It's not the dog. I lay back down the walking resumed. I thought perhaps I was fevered – and I was but that was not it. How do I know? The walking became so pronounced I decided to investigate - after all who wants an animal stuck in your bedroom … there would be no good night's sleep. I took a bat to shoo away the squirrel bird or whatever else it might be. This is my proof that this Story is true. I entered my room like a cop entering a crime scene – bat first hunched and investigative. I searched every inch of the floor…nothing. I   (continued on the next page...)
