Research Investigators of Paranormal BIGGER SIZE PICTURE HERE       Category: paranormal_investigators I saw a Shadow Person at ''The Pub'' in downtown Danville.  I asked the bartender if there was any weird history at this bar. She mentioned (many years ago) a man had killed his wife upstairs above the bar... then went to the basement (below the bar) and killed himself. I then asked her ''Is that the door to the basement?''... I explained, ''the shadow was walking to that door''. Submitted by Rob       Categories: pub, shadows, man I am writing from curiosity. I lived in MT. Carmel when I was very young. MY father's family was from the area. I was wondering if there is any paranormal activity in the area. My paternal grandmother told me some stories so long ago I don't recall them very well anymore. Apparently her parents' home was used as a funeral parlor and I am not even sure if it was in the rural area or if it was in the town. I have been interested in the paranormal all of my life I guess. I live across the street from the original cemetery of the town I live in now and in close vicinity       of one of the four forts which protected the settlement and used as far as the US Civil War. I have seen some shadow people since living here but I feel that they are not old spirits. Then one night I got up in the dark to use the bathroom and there was something in the hallway that kind of amuses me as I recall it. IT was close to the floor and was   strange in that it looked like the dust cloud that surrounds Pigpen in the carton strips Peanuts. I felt at first that I was not to go any further than a certain point but since I needed to relieve my bladder I went anyway and this ''cloud'' was there. I had a feeling of what the? and at the same time like this is a phenomenon that I sure can't explain. It seemed to be an older spirit though as I had to go on through the area. The cemetery across the street is going to be my venture some night before I move from here. A cousin of George Washington is buried there and with the Civil War and this being an old river town I am sure there is more than it seems. However I am no longer in Illinois but have a strong feeling of home to Mount Carmel and Oakland City Indiana. My dad told us a story of his oldest brother and him driving along a highway either from Mt Carmel or Oakland and there was a naked woman running beside the road when they stopped to help her she disappeared. He said this happened several times to them. But he is gone now as well as my grandmother and I have just gotten online for the pas two days to look up haunting in Illinois. If you can point me in the direction of haunting in MT Carmel I would much appreciate it. Thanks so much.
