Auburn, Maine Ghost Tales At the Auburn Public Library, it was mic night. I was working there, until I went out to get some fresh air. I looked up into one of the dark rooms. When I blinked, I saw a man looking down at me smiling. When I blinked again, it was gone. I went to go get my friends. They saw him too. All the rooms were still dark. When we went to go get Sally, she didn't see it. We looked up and the lights were on. No one was in that part of the building. I know that it was a ghost, because I saw it in the middle of the road, and then a car ran over it, and nothing happened. It was fine, and then it came up to me and I went to pat it and then it disappeared right in front of me. Nobody believes me and       its head is in its hands and it floats in thin air and tells me to leave but my mom doesn't want to move so we're not. There have been a lot of events with persons from another world. Several   folks who live here claim there are no ghosts, but the tormented souls of Auburn are all too real. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a terribly mangled hunter dragging a dead wolf is occasionally distinguished reading a newsletter at Barker Mill Dam late at night. A woman with no head has purportedly been noticed on a few instances in Cedar Street Park in the early morning hours before sunrise seeking somebody. Regardless of what, it sure is a chilling ghost that you shouldn't go trying to locate. A man with no head may every now and then be distinguished crying down by the water at Pine Point. One of the residents confidently argues that this phantom likes frightening foolhardy people who come looking for phantoms in Auburn. An enormously terrifying ghost is often observed at Auburn Municipal Beach at midnight looking at the waves down next to the waterfront. One thing is for sure, this spirit certainly is frightening; one that should be left alone.
