We were advised by Pearl that we should not allow the gin on the cupboard to go dry... The seal on the bottle was intact the Day we moved in. Elizabeth (former owner) had commited suicide in a drunken rage (in the room I chose) and was fond of gin. So long as we kept the bottle on the cupboard all was well. Several things     happened such as the parlor doors being kept open... If we did not they would be open when we came home... The room to my door would slam shut unexpectedly and with great force. I don't know what became of Pearl or her daughter bunny (used to own a dress shop in brunswick) as my navy travels had me out of touch. I know she sold the place to a newspaper editor and his family who lied about my ''stuff'' not being anywhere when I had left town for 6 months of school...
