Caribou, Maine Ghost Tales | |

Hi, I saw your page and wanted to tell you what happened to me. It happened in Caribou Maine. We moved there a few years ago and I have my room upstairs. An older man and a young boy was standing in my doorway when I was studying and I looked up. They just stood there looking at me and I just sat there looking at them. I thought it was real but they were dressed like old timey clothes. I waited for them to say something but they didn't and so I started to get up and when I looked away to put my book down and then looked back they weren't there anymore. A couple weeks later I was coming out of the

bathroom upstairs and I saw a lady in a long white dress go through the door next to my bedroom door. The door she went through was closed and locked and it kind of freaked me out at first. A few days

later I was at my desk in my room and I felt like someone was watching me so I turned around and an older couple dressed in old timey clothes again was sitting next to each other on my bed. I had told my parents about the other stuff and they just laughed at me and thought I was kidding but I wasn't. They said if anyone was in the house then they must be ghosts because there was no way anybody could get in and especially upstairs. So I asked the couple if they were dead. I asked it out loud too. They said 'yes'. So then I asked what it was like to be dead. They said 'not much' and then they just

kind of faded away. It was creepy but I thought it was really kind of cool. Other times my curtains would just blow out like the window was open or something but it wasn't. Then it all just kind of went
away for a long time but earlier tonight I was reading an essay I wrote to my parents and something touched the back of my head and it was creepy. No one else was there, except our dog who was asleep
on the floor. Also our dog watches the fireplace really hard in the winter. He turns his head and looks back and forth like somebody is lighting a real fire then he goes and lays by it like he is getting
warm. He acts really weird. Another time he was passing by one of the chairs in the living room and all of a sudden jumped like somebody scared him then he ran as fast as he could to my parents like he
was really scared. Another time my dad was sitting on a day bed in the upstairs room where that lady passed through the door and my mom was making a some letters on the computer in that room and something
touched my dad on the back. He never believed in any of that ghost stuff but that really gave him the creeps. There was nobody else in the room and he was sitting behind my mom so it he knew it wasn't
her. There is a place in the basement that my dog won't go and I won't go there either. The house is big and over a hundred years old. And my dad sat a saw down in the basement the first couple months
we moved here and he even turned it off. I was down there that day and it just started back up by itself and cut his finger almost all the way off. He had to go to the emergency room and they sewed it
back on. Then my older sister came the next December for a week and she hadn't seen the house before and she saw a tall man standing in the entry between the living room and the fireplace den room. Also
my mom has had her hairbows missing that turn up in weird places a couple days later and the last thing was the arm cover from one of the recliners that was just gone and nobody could find it for like a week and when she opened a drawer in another room it was there.
