A decapitated lady was perceived in Cherryfield Historic District in the early morning hours appearing bloodcurdling. The   ghost didn't care that there was somebody other near. Residents who have witnessed this ghost declare this ghost is that of a local resident who settled here in Cherryfield long ago. The ghost of an 11 feet high huge person was perceived looking at the panorama at Cherryfield Dam after midnight. The appearance of the watcher scared the ghost who then faded away. Local people say that this ghost gets pleasure from startling unwise people who come trying to find ghosts in Cherryfield. Regardless of what people say, it's sure a bloodcurdling ghost that you shouldn't go trying to locate. The ghost of a young girl is often distinguished looking at the sight from the highest spot of Burke Hill very late at night.
