Corinna, Maine Ghost Tales | |
|
The most haunted places in town are the private office of the town library and the old school house. In the library private room the manual typewriter can be heard typing on its own and the chair in front of the typewriter can be heard scraping back as if someone was sitting there. The portraits on the walls appear to be staring at you as you walk by and the cellar is very spooky and is rumored to have been used as a jail cell and to be haunted by a thief who died there.
The old Corinna Union Academy is rumored to be haunted by several old school teachers and the stage in the old study hall was always cold and you could feel someone watching you when you are standing there. The study hall doors have been known to shut or open on their own with no one there and the cellar is also a cold and spooky spot to be in.
