Denmark, Maine Ghost Tales

On the face of it Denmark, Maine seems like an ordinary city, but if you are easily terrified, you'd best stay away from this town in the night time. Things take place around here that can't be rationally explained. Some folks who live here say there are no ghosts, but everyone who stays in Denmark is not alive.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A somewhat see-through gentleman clad as the captain of a liner may be noticed time and again looking down into the water at Blackburn Point at midnight. One of the people who live here steadfastly declares that this phantom can be the spirit of a local who passed on here in Denmark some time ago.

The spirit of a young-looking man sporting a confederate uniform has every so often been observed hurling rocks by Shaking Bog.

The spirit of a bum is from time to time spotted relaxing in a chair in a trailer in Denmark.

The spirit of a young-looking lady drenched in blood has supposedly been seen on a few instances

tossing bricks into Tenmile Pond before sunrise.

A gentleman with a large hole through his torso has often been spotted slurping blood from a glass under a lamppost in Denmark.
