Ghosts are so usual here; many local residents don’t even lose sleep about it anymore. Skeptics don't have faith in the local ghost tales, but with so many ghosts in Garland you have a pretty nice chance of witnessing one if you spend the night here.

The spirit of a waitress was observed heading a lead visit of Mansfield Ledge to a troop of ghosts in the early morning hours before sunrise. The ghost
  didn't mind that there was someone else present. According to the residents, this ghost is probably the undeparted ghost of a local person who used to have a home here in Garland.

The ghost of an elderly cleaning lady was made out in Penobscot-Piscataquis Wildlife Management Area late at night covering a body by a big boulder. When the eye witness came into view the ghost ran off. Based on what the folks who live here argue, this ghost is the stressed spirit of a long forgotten Garland local.

The phantom of a young-looking lady clad as a house keeper was perceived browsing through
garbage cans on a Garland lane. The phantom mentioned avenging a murder. A lot of people who live here declare this ghost is that of a local person who lived here in Garland some time ago. No matter what people express, it's a menacing phantom that any rational person wouldn't wish to bump into.

The ghost of a youthful cowboy is regularly seen at Branns Pond Dam around midnight looking at the view. Local people who have witnessed this ghost argue this ghost likes scaring folks who come looking for ghosts in Garland.
