Doubters don't have faith in the local ghost stories, but seeing is believing and if you stay an extra day here in Greenwood, you may well distinguish a ghost. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A big creepy ghost can often be perceived hanging in the air like a blimp in Greenwood. Local people say that this phantom might be a distinguished old days inhabitant of Greenwood. The ghost of a young-looking guy in a confederate uniform may be distinguished very       frequently staring at the water by Bryant Pond Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise. The phantom of a tied up gentleman is from time to time made out yelling names by Berry Ledge. The spirit of a   youthful woman soaked in blood can every so often be perceived hauling a corpse from the ice cold water of Andrews Brook in the early morning hours. One of the local residents steadfastly alleges that this ghost is the undeceased soul of a long forgotten Greenwood person who lived here.
