A lady lacking a head is sometimes distinguished dragging a body from the freezing water of Beals Brook late in the night. Folks here say that this ghost is the undeceased spirit of a former Livermore local.

A gentleman with no head may from time to time be perceived gazing at the water by Brettuns Pond Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise.
A very frightening phantom is regularly made out on the top of Academy Hill around midnight glancing at the panorama. A local person claims that this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was murdered while driving through Livermore some decades ago.
