Custom Search New Harbor, Maine Ghost Sightings New Harbor PAGE 1   2   3     I've been summering in New Harbor since I was born- I'm from Massachusetts (unfortunately) but I have family who live on the Point a 10-15 minute walk to the lighthouse. I've never seen a ghost there personally but I remember the Story of 'crazy nancy. ' apparently there was a House that used to be situated at pumpkin Cove but was then moved in later years onto Bristol road almost across from Sunset Hill road. While the     House was at pumpkin Cove what must have been over a Hundred years ago legend has it that 'nancy' lived there and that some sickness killed off her family neighbors and virtually everyone on Pemaquid point. Nancy reMained alive and couldn't bury the dead all by herself and she went crazy with all the dead bodies around her. From time to time people one of them being a cousin of mine would hike around the shore at pumpkin Cove and Many have said they saw nancy's ghost peering out of one of the windows of the House while it was at there- and while it was supposedly   (continued on the next page...)
