The spirit of a young-looking guy in a confederate uniform can now and then be witnessed in the early morning hours pursuing a passing Chrysler on a murky road outside Peru.
The phantom of a street bum was made out at Worthley Pond Dam around midnight calling out names. The appearance of the watcher terrified the ghost who then faded away. A number of of the residents claim this ghost is most likely the undeceased ghost of a local resident who used to have a home here in Peru.
