Ghosts are so usual in this place; many locals don’t even think about it any longer. People who have never stayed for a few days in this settlement will inform you it's all myths, but anybody who has stayed for a few days in Poland, Maine knows better. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A lady with a spear sticking out of her head has supposedly been observed on frequent occasions trying on socks in a Poland trailer. Whatever people express, it's a creepy spirit that is rather not upset. A knight's armor from the middle ages devoid of a person inside can frequently be witnessed creeping out of a storm drain on a Poland avenue after midnight. The ghost of a woman with a sack bound around her       head may be perceived time and again staring at the water by Estes Bog Dam in the early morning hours. A partially see-through gentleman clothed as the skipper of a craft has every so often been perceived pulling a dead body from the freezing water of Bog Brook before sunrise. A local woman alleges that this ghost is that of a local resident   who had a house here in Poland some decades ago. A sizeable creepy ghost is sometimes witnessed moving orbs around by Brandy Bog. The ghost of a tied up gentleman has been seen on a small number of occasions appearing bloodcurdling up on the top of Mount Apatite. Well, it unquestionably is a bloodcurdling ghost that you would not want to run into before sunrise. The ghost of a young-looking woman covered in blood can every now and then be made out gazing down into the water at Potash Cove in the early morning hours before sunrise.
