At first I thought it was becauseof all the bars around the House and the didn't want anything to happen to us you know how parents want to protect their children from harm. I thought that up until the time we got a dog. Sometimes at night the dog would have to go for a walk. Normaly my mom or dad would     do it depending on who was working what shift but there were a few times that I would have to take the dog out and that's when I started to think that there was more to it then just the drunks out at night that my parents were trying to keep me safe from. One night stuck with me more then any of the others. I remember that even though the dog needed to go out he didn't want to go past the front door. He would just whimper and move from one foot to the other. I finaly got him to start walking down the streat but he wouldn't stop whimpering. We got   (continued on the next page...)
