The ghost of a female having half her head gone is regularly witnessed shouting at the observer to disappear in Frye Mountain State Game Management Area in the early morning hours before sunrise. According to the people who live here, this ghost is that of a local person who lived here in Thorndike some decades ago. No matter what, this ghost indisputably is chilling; one that should be kept away from. A woman with a knife in her head has supposedly been distinguished on one or two occasions verbalizing into the thin air as if someone in addition was present.
