My girl Friend and I were driving south on upper st returning from a grocery trip. We had just passed the upper Street cemetery and were approaching two old homes built in the 1800s. When all of the sudden just ahead of our headlights appeared what seemed to be the upper portion of a person darting across the road from the vicinity of these old homes. My first thought was     that some teenager was out fooling around. It moved from West to east and was Only visible for an instant. I reacted immediately and let off the gas thinking that someone or something was in the road. Without saying a thing my girlfriend asked in a surprised tone of voice did you see that? I replied yes I did. I thought someone had ran out into the road. We continued on our way trying to figure out what it was. My girl Friend thought it looked like a Young man. I said it looked like a person looking right at us as it darted across the road, but   (continued on the next page...)
