Wytopitlock, Maine Ghost Tales I lived in wytopitlock me from 1974 till 1986. I had a friend there that lived out near the end of 171 near route 2. He and I many times saw an old civil war troop walk the feild behind his house. I lived in the big green house. We had a ghost in the house he wakled the stairs late at night you would hear his heavy footsteps comming up the stairs he never hurt anyone in the house just walked the stairs. People who have never stayed overnight in this municipality will say to you it's lies, but there really are scary things occurring here in Wytopitlock during the night. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of an engine driver is known to have been made out on frequent instances       trying to deposit a body in Palmer Deadwater in the early morning hours before sunrise. The ghost of a badly mangled hunter pulling a dead wolf may regularly be made out around midnight drifting along Angus Brook.
