as the old woman disappear into the trees and bushes. There was no fear or discomfort in the presence of this entity. The woman ghost felt gentle with no sense of threat at all. After she sort of dissolved into the trees there was, however, this great feeling of sadness I felt. It lingered a bit, then went away as we exited the property. Mathew and I did not speak about anything on the ride back. In fact, we haven't spoken since.

Comment by Mary: Shame on Mathew for not preparing you for what was ahead of you that night. Everyone in Danvers knows about the strange goings on up at the homestead. I know better than to dabble with the paranormal spirits up there.

Comment by P: I have heard stories throughout the years of weird stuff happening there and throughout old Salem village but honestly thought it was just something our parents said to make us behave. I will think twice about going up there by myself.

Comment by Robin: I live in Danvers near Tapley Park but have never been to the RNH. I'm going to check this place out!.

Comment by Evelin: I am not sure if I believe in ghosts or not; however, I will say this. I have seen weird glowing lights up at the Homestead about four or five times in the past ten years. They definitely were not a light reflection or coming from a standard light source. Kind of spooky, nonetheless.
