Douglas, Massachusetts Ghost Tales I lived in an apartment building on Main St. I forget the  number. It was blue and across from the small waterfall. I would be visited by a man who would pace the hallway and then around 6am every morning, you would hear him go down the stairs and out the front door. My other neighbors in the building would hear him too. On nights I was not home, my neighbor below me could hear my bed being lifted up and slammed on the floor. I had lights turn on, on their own and would always feel a presence at night when I was trying to sleep. The menacing ghost of a Viking has occasionally been made out down near Sutton Falls in the early morning hours glugging down gasoline. Local people assert that this phantom is the phantom of a traveler that was murdered while traveling through Douglas in the past. A guy that shape-shifted into a vampire is rumored to have been made out on a handful of instances wandering down a secluded highway close to Douglas. In any case, it certainly is a terrifying ghost that should be left alone. A luminous human body may every now and then be noticed in Purgatory Chasm after midnight reading a newspaper. No matter what, this ghost undoubtedly is terrifying; one that you wouldn't want to run into late in the night. The spirit of a young guy in a winter jacket has often been seen after midnight drifting down Croff Farm Brook. A headless man is repeatedly seen sitting on a stool in a house next to Douglas. A local person says that this ghost gets pleasure from terrifying folks who are bold enough to interrupt the serenity in Douglas.
