I was checking out books on the main floor and forgot to get something. When I went to the upstairs book shelves I passed one particular Section on history. I was about 5 feet away when I heard a thump. I turned around and a book had fallen from a shelf by itself. I put the book back on the shelf went downstairs and told the lady at the desk what happened. She told     me that stuff like that happens so often that they just ignore it. Footsteps in the front hallway when no one is there. Black shadows crossing the catwalk connecting the book stacks. A mysterious fire in the lower level auditorium. Books disappearing from shelves and turning up in Odd locations in the library. Patrons in the reference room being touched by someone who ''isn't'' there.
