The ghost of a gentleman wearing army attire is regularly noticed by Basin Pond Brook carrying a human headbone. One of the people who live here steadfastly declares that this ghost is the tormented soul of a long forgotten Monterey local person. No matter   what folks utter, this is an unlikable ghost that you shouldn't go seeking. A female with a knife sticking out of her head has supposedly been spotted on numerous instances at Marlboro Academy at night gazing down into the water. Some of the people who live here allege this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was murdered while journeying through Monterey long ago.
