One night while working I heard the sound of a person walking across the creaky floor and went upstairs to investigate. I was more worried about someone breaking in than a     ghostly apparition. All was secured, no open doors or windows. When I returned to my spot,downstairs,an hour or so later I heard the footsteps again......who knows, I'm not one to believe such stories but I did indeed hear those sounds late one night at the restaurant.
