Wellfleet, Massachusetts Ghost Tales Was staying out on the Chequessett GC about 10yrs ago, house backed on the course but had maybe like 15 yards of trees in between. I'm up late at night out on the deck overlooking the trees and it's very quiet, pretty late. I hear what I think might be a deer in the woods about 20 yards away from me and watch to see what's up until I realize I'm looking down on the image of a person coming out of the woods. I'm totally scared because it's like 2am and everyone in our family was long asleep but me. So just as I'm about to yell something at the guy to scare him off he stops and looks up at me, and I realize that I'm looking at an Indian brave. He stops and looks up at me, I at him... he silently turns around and disappears into the woods again. I never see him cross the GC or anything, or hear him. This was many years ago and every hair on my body stands straight up recounting this on here. This is the only paranormal experience I've ever had in my life.
