West Yarmouth, Massachusetts Ghost Tales I believe my home is haunted with more than one spirit. Strange occurances have happened liked toys with no batteries in them going off, shadow figures walking into our rooms, ojects relocating themselves(keys and other small items), lights going on and off by themselves, and much more. From my personal research in regards to the paranormal.....it appears that a high water table and high electric magnetic feilds (like our military base) can be a heaven for spirits. (The cape has both as well as minerals in the sand that alledgely have effects) Basically I am curious if  the Cape is a hot bed of activity....especially with all the history....alot of it grim. Anyone out there with answers? Anyone with stories similiar. Submitted by West Yarmouth resident There's not a thing remarkable with reference to West Yarmouth, Massachusetts while the sun is up, but there are ghosts in this municipality, and they emerge in the moonlight hours. There have been lots of incidents with individuals from a parallel world. Several local residents       claim there are no phantoms, but the undeparted spirits of West Yarmouth are all too real. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead has purportedly been made out on a few instances in the rear seat of a Honda by the driver seeing   the ghost in her rear view mirror late in the night. If you talk to the residents, this ghost may be a recognized yesteryear local of West Yarmouth. The ghost of an aged guy with a long gray beard can be spotted often pulling up weeds in the front garden of an apartment in West Yarmouth. According to what the residents assert, this ghost is in all probability the undeparted ghost of a resident who used to reside here in West Yarmouth. The ghost of a gentleman wearing a military uniform has once in a while been seen in John F Kennedy Memorial late at night trying to find something. Loads of residents argue this ghost is the stressed soul of an old West Yarmouth person who lived here. A woman with a knife sticking out of her head is sometimes observed swimming at Bass River Beach at night. Locals here claim that this spirit is the spirit of a visitor that was killed while passing through West Yarmouth a long time ago. One thing is for guaranteed, it's a scary ghost that is preferably not disrupted. A medieval knight's armor devoid of a human inside has allegedly been seen on several occasions by a man hiking along a trail in the vicinity of West Yarmouth.
