Woods Hole, Massachusetts Ghost Tales I am often a full fledged sleep-with-a-light-on chicken, and I had never had a ghostly encounter until last spring when I stayed at the very cool old Sands of Time Motel in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. In the last room on the top floor, my BF and I shared one of the two full-sized beds in our room but at about 4am, I was a bit hot so I got into the other bed, leaving my snoring radiator on his own. I fell asleep on my side - my back to him - but was awakened when I felt him press down on the edge of the bed behind me. It felt like he was pushing down on the bed with one hand up by my shoulders and the other hand down near my hips. I opened my eyes and got a weird feeling when I realized I could still hear my BF in the other bed snoring. Then out of the corner of my eye I could see something leaning over me from behind as if it wanted to see my face - and perhaps have me see it's face. When I recalled the 'look' of the image later, it felt as if it looked like the shell-headed character from Pirates of the Caribbean. Or one of those       goofy clown pens with the spiky rubber hair that you see on the counter at Blockbuster. Yikes! I closed my eyes tight and finally got a breath to shout out and the pressure on the bed behind me went away. I opened my eyes, reached for the light and yelled for my BF to wake up and get me outta there! He blinked in confusion as I jumped   on him, insisting we leave right NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! He asked if he could shower first and I stood right next to the shower - not even allowing him to close the shower door - till he was done. It was 5AM when we FINALLY took off to find an open doughnut shack with coffee, before hitting the ferry for Martha's Vineyard.
