Anyone from the Sheldonville part of town? I lived on Hancock Street for a few years, and the home that I lived in was built in the 1940s. The house right next door was built in the 1860s. There was a shadow person that would walk around upstairs at night in my house. The cemetery on Burnt Swamp Road is haunted too. I've seen a woman in a dark colored dress walking around in there and then disappear. I'd be interested to hear anyone's stories.

My wife and I have been married for twenty-seven years. Our first small apartment was in Wrentham, MA on East St. It was located near the court house, but across the street. This apartment was next to, and attached to the main house, which was owned by an elderly woman. My wife said the place is ''haunted''. She kept seeing this man while she was asleep in our apartment. According to her, she would wake up and see this man at the end of our bed. Not sure why she never woke me, but she would tell me the next morning. Of course I would look for signs of forced entry. Over time she would learn more about him. At one point she found out his name.

Once a month we would walk over and pay the rent, and it was at this time we would find out more about her husband. She found out that her dead husband's name was the same as the man she saw! Luckily my wife had never seen a picture of the dead husband, because I think this would have really freaked her out. We believed that this was the husband of the landlord. My wife's younger brother and sister would sleep over and wake up screaming about a man in the apartment. She had never discussed her experiences with her young siblings. We got the apartment with directions from the landlord to never use the fireplace. We found out later that the husband had died while trying to repair the fireplace, but never found out if he had died while in our apartment.

We usually listened to the radio at home. I listened to a radio station down on end of the radio dial, and my wife would listen to one down the other end. When we would come home the radio would be on this 1930s or 1940s style of music, which was in the middle of the radio dial. When we were there about a year, the old woman got into a car accident and died shortly after. It was at this time that things started really getting strange. We believe he was angry over her death. I cannot explain how it became strange, but even I started getting these strange feelings. The daughter sold the house, fairly fast after her mother's death, and we moved out. For a person (at that time) that did not believe in this type of things, I knew there was something angry there. I have always wanted to know whether someone else had the same experience in this house, but I am sure not going back in there to find out if he is still there.
