Belmont, New Hampshire Ghost Tales | |
|
We were up on Ladd hill last Halloween looking for the ghost of Terrance both well. We heard some moans and we kept hearing foots steps as we walked along the trail near his old cabin. Kyle my bud who was with me saw a shadow move next to him, so we booked it for about a half mile through the woods till we got to the main road. There is some scary stuff that goes on upon Ladd hill. A bunch of my friends have had weird encounters in the woods on Ladd hill. Submitted by Tyler B. Categories: hill, shadows, footsteps, sounds
Well long ago there lived an old man upon Ladd hill. He lived up there all by himself and rarely ventured into town. He did although have family that resided in the actual town part of Belmont. They regularly checked up on him every few weeks to make sure he was all right. One day they strolled up to his house to offer him some of their holiday meal. It was a snowy night and they knocked on the door but no one answered so they went inside thinking something was wrong

and they couldn't be anymore right. He was laying in his bed dead. The murder was never solved. And up to this day you can hear him if you go to the top off Ladd hill moaning. And if you go to the house late at night, which is on the corner of Ladd hill road and old Ladd hill road you may see his ghost struggling with his murderer. Submitted by

Belmont, New Hampshire seems the same as any other neighborhood in the US of A, but if you are easily terrified, you'd better not come this place at night. The spirits of this settlement don’t leave anyone unfrightened. Some local residents allege these accounts are untrue, but not everyone of the residents of Belmont are quite alive.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
The ghost of an aged hag has supposedly been seen on a handful of occasions by Badger Brook looking. If you listen to the people who live here, this ghost may well be a well-known past native of Belmont.
A lady's body with a horse's head can often be observed on the shore of Sargent Lake trying to snatch something.
A fairly decayed human dead body may be seen over and over again gazing at the water by Avery Dam on a dark night. Based on what the locals assert, this ghost is almost certainly the tormented ghost of a local who used to have a home here in Belmont.
