The spirit of an aged cleaning lady may every so often be observed at Campers Beach going for a dark-hour bath. A dark bat that shape-shifted into a woman was witnessed up on Burton Peak gazing. Several folks nearby have had identical happenings with an almost identical ghost. The phantom of a youthful female dressed as a maid came into view around midnight exploring Spofford Gap in detail. This is one of those phantoms that is perceived time and again around here. One of the residents determinedly says that this ghost loves scaring foolhardy people who are bold enough to disrupt the calm in Peterborough. The ghost of a homeless gentleman was witnessed struggling to grip something at Black Reservoir Lower Dam at midnight. The bystander escaped immediately after she set eyes on the ghost.
