Custom Search Plainfield, New Hampshire Ghost Sightings Plainfield PAGE 1   2     Back when I was in middle school (half my life ago) my church district held a retreat twice a year at the singing Hills christian conference center. Now being particularly ''spiritual meant that most of us Camp kids held a biblical view of death and that ghosts weren't real'' somehow. However a Story that went around was something some of us claimed to witness and none could explain. Just outside the Camp property is stage rd. The     Story went that back in the 1800s there was a 1-room schoolhouse in a small field on stage rd. One Day that schoolhouse caught fire and burned to the ground killing the students and their Young teacher. At various times during the year as vehicles pass the field the aparitions of this teacher and a few small children can be seen either walking where their school once was or screaming for help as the phantom fire threatens to burn them alive.
