Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey Ghost Tales LIVED IN AN OLD CABIN ON BOTTLE BAY COUPLE YEARS AGO.ME AND MY WIFE BOTH OFTEN SAW DARK FIGURES SCURRY CROSS THE CEILING LATE AT NIGHT.THE WALL IN THE BATHROOM HAD A BAD HABIT OF MUMBLING WHILE YOU WERE ON THE TOILET. I PULLED A SHOTGUN ON WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A INTRUDER JUST TO HAVE HIM DISSAPEAR BEFORE MY EYES! ONE TIME THE SUNROOM GLASS SCREEN DOOR SLAMMED ON ITS OWN ON FURTHER INSPECTOIN I FOUND TWO SMALL HAND PRINTS IN CHALK ON THE GLASS NO CHILDREN AROUND. MY DOG, MY MOMS DOG AND THE NEIGHBORS ALL RAN STRAIGHT TO OUR BEDROOM TO SCRATCH AND WHINE AT A SMALL SECTION OF THE WOOD FLOOR IN THE CLOSET. I KNOW OF TWO DEATHS AT THE HOME THE ORIGINAL OWNER ''LAND LORDS BROTHER'' DIED WHEN HE SLAMMED INTO THE DOCK AS HE LET GO OF THE WATER SKI ROPE. THE DAMEDGED DOCK WAS NEVER REPAIRED. A 23-YR-OLD CARPENTER IN THE EARLY NINTYS DIED IN THE KITCHEN OF A MASSIVE BRAIN ANERISM ''I BIELIEVE THIS ANGRY GUY IS THE ONE I PULLED A SHOTGUN ON.'' THAT CABIN ON EAST BOTTLE BAY IS STILL ABANDON SINCE I LEFT AND WAS FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE I GOT THERE.? ''THE       LOCALS KNOW BETTER''. Some of the dead and buried don't want to rest in peace in this   town. People who have never stayed for the night in this town will say to you it's untrue, but creepy things unquestionably take place here in Atlantic Highlands in the moonlight hours. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a dispossessed man was perceived down by the water at Atlantic Highlands Yacht Harbor reading a book. When the observer became visible the ghost ran away. Loads of residents say this ghost loves scaring unwise folks who are brave enough to disturb the peace in Atlantic Highlands. A bloodcurdling beast appeared gazing at the sight from the peak of Garrett Hill in the early morning hours. The ghost talked about avenging a slaying. The phantom of a silver-miner was distinguished ascending out of Black Point Creek soaked in mud in the early morning hours before sunrise. The witness freaked out and escaped. Residents assert that this spirit could be the soul of a local resident who died here in Atlantic Highlands a long time ago. The spirit of a guy clad as a car mechanic materialized seated on a bench in a home in Atlantic Highlands. The ghost acknowledged the presence of the witness. One of the local residents strongly declares that this phantom could be a distinguished former time native of Atlantic Highlands. Either way, it's a terrifying ghost that is preferably not interrupted.
