Emerson, New Jersey Ghost Tales Soldier Hill Road in Emerson was a station for Washington's troops back in the Revolution. Both Oradell and Emerson homes are located on Soldier Hill. I know families from both who have doors open and close randomly, dogs freaking out before the doors slam and one person who actually has seen a very old fashioned looking soldier walking in her basement. Soldier Hill was built on many dead soldiers graves. If you pass the main Jewish cemetery across from soldier Hill at night, a strange mist sometimes engulfs your car out of nowhere. Many phantom sightings have been told by the folks who live here. Folks who have never stayed a day in this municipality will tell you it's untrue, but the things that go down here in Emerson during the night will give you a good scare. These are some of the spooky       things that have happened here recently. A man with a big hole through his chest may often be noticed marching through an apartment in Emerson. A man with the head of a goblin has from time to time been made out looking at the water by Lake Tappan Dam before dawn. A woman burning, clutching a petroleum bottle is from time   to time seen dragging a corpse over rocks in Andreas Park after midnight. The spirit of a young air force pilot may every now and then be observed crawling out of Bear Swamp covered in dirty water at the stroke of midnight. A young girl in a bloody wedding gown was noticed piling chunks of concrete in Saddle River Valley at night. The ghost spoke about avenging an assassination. A lady with a green face emerged riding on a steed down a road right next door to Emerson. The viewer got freaked out and fled. Regardless of what folks exclaim, it sure is a chilling phantom that you shouldn't go searching for. A gentleman with a machete in his head was made out sipping blood from a cup by Anderson Brook. The ghost waved to the watcher. One thing is for guaranteed, this ghost indisputably is terrifying; one that is rather not disrupted. The ghost of a mail carrier came into view on the top of Andre Hill at night staring at the view. When the spirit was witnessed it disappeared into the air.
