Estell Manor, New Jersey Ghost Tales | |

I had an extremely scary experience at the exact same location in estelle manor as the girl who saw the horse and rider. The place is known as the Old Estelle Mansion at the corner of Old Walkers Forge Rd and Rt 50. It used to be the home of Mr. Estelle and his family. The mansion still stood when me and 3 friends decided to do a little legend tripping in there with some girls we met hoping to scare them. The mansion itself was beat up from years of teenagers partying there. The night we went there we were in the attic room drinkin and making out and heard a crash behind the house. It startled us and even scared us a little, but that served to fuel our intrigue and desire to investigate. Upon entering the rear of the property we discovered an old 2 story stable/barn and went in to see what was in there and what made the crash. Initially we found nothing and put it off as nothing and decided to continue our little party in there which went on for a little while until we heard the crash again. around to see what it was when we heard a low growl come from the loft area. This growl did not sound like any animal either. We ran out in terror and fled to our cars which were parked across the street at the old pub and proceeded to leave when a jet black el camino came out of nowhere and pulled up behind us and blocked us in. We were about to mess

our pants about this time and started honking and shouting at the guy behind the wheel who did not respond, but just sat there and stared us down through his windshield. I looked over my shoulder from the drivers seat to see for myself and got caught in the gaze of the most evil looking individual I ever laid eyes on. Having a very powerful muscle car I pushed his car backwards till I had enough room to escape and took off and when we looked back he was gone. Come to find out sometime later after doing some research of the area's history there had been a horrific car accident in front of the mansion a few years back where a drunk wrecked his black el camino and died instantly. A few years later some kids who had some scary experiences at the place burnt it down claiming they were trying to stop the ghosts who lived there from haunting them.

When I was 14 years old I was outside the Estell Home (since burnt down sadly) on Old Walkers Forge Road and Route 50. Myself and 3 friends saw the ghost of a horse

and it's rider behind the home in the brush and trees, but riding free as though the trees were not there. Both horse and rider were transparently white, giving them an eerie appearance. We tried to follow the horse and rider as they rode straight back from the home, along Maple Road, which the side of the property runs parallel to, but the apparition vanished. I have one photo from a different night of investigating the home that I will upload as soon as I can. It is a clear photo of a solid orb with a trail in front of the home. The orb was not visable to me at the time I took the photo.
