I recently took a Ghost tour at the Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery off Newark Ave in Jersey City. They had guide who walked arounf in victorian period costumes who spoke about the historical and ghostly happenings in the cemetery throughout the years. Several people died there, including a little boy where a giant pointed headstone fell on him crushing him to death in the 1870s. His mother was there grieving over the grave of her other son and neice who has recently died. They claim the headstone never stays up. There were a few stories about strange happenings in cemetery.
Also lots of civil war and Jersey City historical citizens in there who met tragic ends. Attacted is this photo someone took on the night of the tour, which was on Sunday Oct 25, 2009. I think they will be doing more tour, even next year. You decide, but I was there and there was no smoke or fog around when this was taken. .

My 14 year old daughter is seeing a male ghost in her home. Only out of her peripheral vision then he disappears when she turns around. She has seen him walk by and then in a stretching position. He gave her his name in a dream, but she is having trouble remembering, but knows it begins with a J. I encourage her to speak with him and ask again. Oh and also to stop trying to turn around to see him head on. Some ghost are only visible through peripheral vision, so I asked her to study him from that angle before turning around.

Not everything in Jersey City, New Jersey is as it appears; when the spooky shadows of the night float in the undead take over. Some of the deceased don't want to pass on in this municipality. Some residents argue these stories are not true, but seeing is believing and if you stay for the night here in Jersey City, you could perceive a ghost.
