Jersey City, New Jersey Ghost Sightings - PAGE 2

I didn't get scared immediately, but it came right from my pillow into my ear, and that was when I jumped. I made the realization that it wasn't an outside noise.
I hear a lot of things like that, but I don't write it down, so I forget specifics, but laughs are common for me to hear I guess. And no I don't have any mental illness, and this doesn't happen all that often for me to get worried until it happens again.

I used to live at a home on Magnolia Avenue. When my parents had just moved there stuff started to be one place and somehow moved. Then I was born, and this stopped. My mom would joke about a poltergeist and told this to a friend. She then told her, and I quote ''no, it's not a poltergeist. It was a little boy who had apparently died in a fire.'' My parents told me this. I said to them ''yeah, it's Paul.'' Paul was my imaginary friend. My mom's hairdresser (who was also a medium) told her that he wore shorts and a blazer which meant that he died somewhere in the early 1900s. I think it might have just been him. He will haunt you if you live there and have no children.

I have 2 stories. My best friend's father owns a house on Boyd at Bergen. It is a three-story with a basement. They rented the basement and the first floor. They themselves were living on the second floor and converted attic. On countless occasions at the house my boyfriend and I would hear noises coming from the floor we weren't on, when no one else was home. If we were in her attic bedroom, we would hear running coming from the floor beneath us which housed her father's bedroom, brother's room, kitchen, living and dining rooms. If we went downstairs to investigate, as soon as we got down there we would hear running in the attic (her room, other brother's room and a shared living space in between). This would go on and on as if taunting us. It was frightening, although no harm ever came to us. Maybe it was just ''someone'' having a little fun at our expense. On one such occasion we were sitting in her room listening to music when out of nowhere the volume knob started moving on its own, with the music growing louder until it maxed out. Completely freaked out we walked over and turned it down. As soon as we started to walk back across the room it happened again. At this point she ran over and ripped the cord out of the wall. We quickly grabbed our stuff and ran out of the house. I never experienced anything else in that house after that occurrence, but maybe I/we just became desensitized to it all.
During this same time period, while at my boyfriend's parents' apartment in downtown (on 2nd St. , around the corner from the middle school) we would always experience weird feelings, noises and happenings. On one occasion, while sitting up on the top bunk of his bed all of a sudden you could feel like you were being watched. It was insanely eerie making the hairs on your arms and neck stand on end. Immediately after the folding accordion door shut. There was NO ONE in the house but us. This was not a standard hinged door that could maybe shut in a breeze or with the settling of the house. It HAS to be pulled. Needless to say, we were both frozen in our seats too terrified to move. He would always tell me that he would see shadows and that often while sleeping he would feel pressure on the mattress next to him like something had just sat down next to him or was pushing down on the bed.
