The     make-up of the town then was quite different there even were postcards sold at the local Marina with the towns name on them. Our House was on clairmore avenue. In the non-summer months the area was deserted. At night late you could hear and feel a galloping type sound outside every so often. Many a night was the Distant sound of muffled music. In our House late at night there was a constant knocking noise coming from the front of the House like something swinging into it rhythmically- my dad would go out with a flashlight and look around.
