The Dayton Ohio area actually is a hotbed for paranormal activity, if you know where to look and how to look. Most people go to the obvious locations - ones that have been reported and passed down through time even though there have only been a few reports of actual encounters or strange events. One of the old sayings goes, if you stand in the same place for long enough, you will see everyone pass by, but who's got time for that.
In truth, if you are looking for paranormal activity - you have to get off the beaten path and make a few trails of your own. This world is an extremely haunted place - and Dayton, Ohio is no exception. I run a paranormal investigation service called O. A. S. I. S. - or The Ohio Angelic and Spirit Investigation Services - and I will tell you folks, I have seen many many instances where spectral apparitions, shadow figures, and even demons/demonic activity can be seen in broad daylight if you're looking for it.
This area is well known for the established tribes of the Erie, Kickapoo, and Shawnee indians - before them the Adena and Hopewell indians were the majority. There is ALOT of ancient sites which have been long forgotten and it is in my experiences that the forgotten souls - even of those buried with lost, stolen, or misplaced tombstones are sites that have good amounts of activity.
