The spirit of an elderly prospector with a large mustache and a hook instead of his left hand is known to have been spotted on frequent instances at the shore at Lago Caonillas reading a book. A local woman says that this ghost is the ghost of a traveler that was killed while traveling through Utuado a long time ago. The spirit of an elderly female grasping a pistol may now and       then be seen sipping water from Jobos Saltillo on a dark night. The phantom of an aged Indian chief was spotted in Bosque Estatal de Rio Abajo late in the night howling at a log. When the bystander came into sight the ghost fled. The phantom of an aged cleaning lady materialized mid stream in Rio Caonillas howling. The arrival of the   viewer scared the phantom who then disappeared. One of the locals determinedly asserts that this ghost is that of a local who lived here in Utuado in the past. The spirit of a youthful female outfitted as a house keeper was witnessed staring at the water by Dos Bocas Dam late in the night. The phantom mumbled about avenging a slaying. The ghost of a young cowboy came into view showing up in a bedroom mirror. The viewer became frightened and fled. The ghost of a coal-miner was witnessed on the top of Cerro Don Quino after midnight staring at the sight. The ghost reacted to the onlooker. Either way, it's a menacing ghost that you shouldn't go looking for. The ghost of a man outfitted as a gardener was perceived relaxing on a bench in a house right next door to Utuado. The ghost was consumed by the night after being spotted. In any event, it in all certainty is a frightening ghost that should be let alone. A woman with a fairly translucent body has regularly been seen in the backseat of a Honda by the driver setting eyes on the spirit in his rear view mirror in the early morning hours.
