At that time there were three apartments in the house: the original ''main'' House which according to local legend had been a stagecoach station later a train station and at one time a road House and possibly a brothel; and two additional apartments at either end of the main House that I believe had been added later. At     first I lived in the apartment nearest to the road and I never had any incidents there. But when the original part of the House became vacant I moved in there and the fun began. I would be lying in bed at night and I would hear the sounds of honkey-tonk piano and voices on the opposite side of the Wall where there was another apartment. But that apartment was vacant at the time! There was a door between my bedroom and the apartment where the noise was coming from but it was sealed shut and since I didn't own the House and couldn't get in without breaking in I   (continued on the next page...)
