Coventry, Rhode Island Ghost Tales In my old house, I was only a little kid. We lived on Victory Highway in a big pink house. There was so many ghostly encounters that happened to me and my family. The ghost were, little kids upstairs(running around and laughing), an evil/scary looking man in the downstairs hallway where some of the bedrooms were, there is the smell of old woman perfume in the living room, the basement was very airish and creepy, and other things that I forgot because I was much younger than I am right now. The worst encounter that happened to me was when my sister was babysitting for me and my brother, and we heard laughter and running upstairs. My sister grabbed a knife and walked upstairs and came back down and told us that she saw nothing. Weird, don't you think?. Her white figure can be seen by my bedroom window and her voice has been heard on occasion. She moves things around and there is almost always a writing/scraping sound similar to that of a pen on paper. The noises, voice, and sightings are scary but none of them compare to   the staring. About 70% of the time, me, my sibling, and my guests feel as if there is someone staring at them. The eye witness thought it was an actor but the man vanished before her. She then ran away telling a local supermarket official what had happened. The official had said there was a tale of Curtis the ghost who is still looking for his beloved Caroline. Numerous accounts of this phantom have been reported. A local person asserts that this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was killed while journeying through Coventry in the past.
