Over the years, it happened that the house had recurring and sometimes inexplicable problems with water leaks. Also, from time to time during the evening hours, members of the household would hear what sounded like footsteps and the clinking of ice cubes coming from the living room when, apparently, nobody was there!     I think that we may have had a thirsty ghost, who perhaps wandered over from next door, and wished to extend one of the many parties that were given in this room. And those mysterious water leaks? Perhaps this party spirit had trouble physically operating the faucets, but found a way to see to it that there was always an occasional bit of rain water trickling in, to refresh its drink. Never a sighting, never a scream or a ghostly moan; just an occasional footstep and the happy sound if clinking ice cubes in the living room as though the party must never end!
