East Providence, Rhode Island Ghost Tales On Green Wood Ave in Rumford Rhode Island about 30 years ago there were two young boys in bed room. The door to the attic that was in there swung open. When the two boys looked up there was a tall man standing there with a straw hat on. The apparition when flying across the room hit the window and was gone. The kid went running downstairs to their parent crying. When the two children said they was a ghost the parents laughed. But the kids were so upset. The parents knew something was wrong so they took the kids into to different rooms and asked them what had happened. The two kiids had told the same exact story even though they had not told the story together in the same room. When the dad when up to check if there was no indication of a person in the house there was nothing. But the Attic door was open which was odd because it had always been locked from the inside. And the only two people who had the key to open it was the children's mom and dad. Things happen in this town that cannot be scientifically explained. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A decapitated guy can once in a while be spotted in Green Jacket Shoal around midnight screaming people's names. The phantom of a nurse with a blood-splattered uniform was spotted relaxing at the dining table in an East Providence residence. The ghost spoke of revenging a slaying. A female with her head and both arms removed showed up screaming at the eye witness to be off in Abbott Park late in the night. The bystander became frightened and escaped. Folks here assert that this ghost likes terrifying foolish people who dare to disrupt the tranquility in East Providence. One thing's for certain, this is an unsympathetic spirit that you shouldn't go searching for.
