Arlington, Vermont Ghost Tales While in Howel's campground, I was walking back from there towards home, and when I was looking for my cell phone, I heard a scuttering, and saw a woman in white running acrossed the road towards the house on the breaking of the woods.  When I finally got home (which was on the back of the pond), all I heard was screaming.  As a full blown Vermonter, I can tell the difference between a woman and a bobcat.  It wasn't a bobcat. Some of the passed away will not rest in peace in this town. Not everyone trusts in the testimonies the folks who live here tell, but there in fact are terrifying things going down here in Arlington in the night time. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A lady clutching her head by her arm has purportedly been distinguished on numerous       instances going through the closet in the bedroom of an Arlington trailer in the early morning hours before sunrise. A local woman says that this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was killed while traveling through Arlington some time ago. The ghost of a young-looking lady dressed in a blood-covered prom dress may regularly be spotted hiding   a corpse by a large rock in Arlington Village Historic District at the stroke of midnight. A beheaded female may be seen time and again staring at folks in an Arlington apartment through an air vent. One of the residents strongly asserts that this ghost enjoys terrifying folks who have the guts to disturb the quiet in Arlington. The phantom of a twelve feet enormous guy is every so often perceived by Barbos Lake Dam at midnight staring at the water.
