Castleton, Vermont Ghost Tales

Ive actually been visited by Penelope..> I have lived in Ellis Hall the hall resides in on campus and last year as a freshman I had a feeling of someone walking into me... I started balling and I have never expereinced such a depression. One that makes you cry but you cannot find anything within you as to the nature of your crying. Anyways when it went away I saw someone walk across the 2nd floor window... Keep in mind this was 3 am on a school night so although kids dont sleep much around here it is a small campus and I did not reconginze this whatever it was that spooked me...Nedless to say I ran to my
room and hid under the covers. Now im conviced she outs to get me lol.

Birdseye Mountain in Castleton has a picnic area where you can view the mountain and is only accessable
in the drier seasons. The picnic area has a old cemetary with very old headstones. On two different occasions late at night I have been with a group that has seen (I only saw it the second time up there) a ball of light in the woods that came closer through the woods at a very smooth slow pace. The smoothness of the movement made it so ther was no way anyone could have been carrying the light. The ball moved slow at first and then in a burst came faster before it vanished. The first time two people saw it and freaked out the rest of us and we all took off, the second time (over a year later) three of
us saw it.
